    DICA PARA ATUALIZAR O WINDOWS DEFENDER

    Esse problema ocorre quando a pasta SoftwareDistribution está corrompida.

    Para resolver isso, entre no modo de segurança, então no Menu Iniciar digite %windir% e dê Enter.

    * %windir% equivale a pasta \Windows na partição em que o Vista está instalado

    Localize a pasta SoftwareDistribution e a renomeie para SoftwareDistribution.old
    Em seguida reinicie o computador.





    pesquisei na net e tem uma forma mais fácil... segue:

    Em "Painel de Controle" entre na opção "Windows Update"

    Anote a configuração original.

    Em "alterar Configurações" selecione a opção " Nunca Verificar se há atualizações"

    Desmarque qualquer outra opção na parte inferior da tela que esteja selecionada.

    Pronto. Indo ao Windows Defender solicite sua atualização que será realizada sem problemas.

    Após atualizá-lo, retorne ao Windows Update e marque as opções originais.

    Solicite então no Windows Update a verificação por atualizações.

    Pronto. O problema foi resolvido e o Windows passará a se atualizar automaticamente.
